To the north of Naples is Caserta, a city built around the famous Royal Palace commissioned by Charles of Bourbon in 1725. Located on the edge of the fertile Campania felix, the Royal Palace, designed by Vanvitelli, was a royal residence until 1859. With its 5 floors, 1200 rooms and 4 courtyards, it is striking for the elegance of the interiors which contrast with the austere exterior. Among the most notable environments: the Palatine Chapel, the guard rooms and the sumptuous royal apartments in rococo and neoclassical style. The park is a landscape masterpiece, with avenues, waterfalls, stairways and four fountains symbolizing the four elements. Abruzzo National Park

About 40 km from Sora, entering the Abruzzo National Park through the Atina exit, you discover an oasis of authentic and silent nature, among lush woods and large green spaces. Gaeta, a medieval village of great charm, is home to the 11th century Cathedral, the Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata and the Angevin castle. Continuing for another 5 km, you arrive in Sperlonga, a picturesque perched town of Arab and Norman origin, with white houses, Mediterranean views and over 10 km of beaches.
